West Dulwich


Transport: West Dulwich railway station has regular services into London Victoria. West Dulwich is mainly located within the London Borough of Southwark but at times straddles The London Borough of Lambeth.

West Dulwich: The area is made up of two main proximately independent shopping parades situated at the crossroads of Park Hall Road and South Croxted Road, and the other is located on Rosendale Road, home to the popular Rosendale Pub which was awarded by Time Out the best Gastro pub of the year 2007. The Belair House is found in the grounds of Belair Park, a glossy bar/restaurant in a Georgian mansion with Modern British menus and cocktails. West Dulwich has a Non-League football club Wanderers F.C. who play at Belair Park. This club is famous for winning the FA cup five times between 1872 and 1878.

There is fantastic schooling options in the area. West Dulwich has four state primary schools and one secondary school. There are a number of private schools in or near the area: Oakfield Preparatory School, Rosemead Preparatory School, Dulwich College and Dulwich College Preparatory School.

Parks and Woodlands: There are beautiful green spaces in Dulwich, this is what makes the area so special. Dulwich Wood, Dulwich Park and Brockwell Park are all within walking distance of West Dulwich. Belair and Thurlow Park are located by the South Circular. The affluent area of Dulwich Village is also on your doorstep.

The Rosendale: Originally a Victorian coaching inn, The Rosendale today is a magnificent public house serving simple, seasonal and sustainable food. The Rosendale has an excellent range of local ales, award-winning wines and innovative cocktails.  They have extensive gardens featuring a climbing frame for children and table tennis and boules for adults, as well as a handsome bar and elegant dining room.
